Gel-Ride, all purpose, spine
free pad.
A concern, but seldom a complaint, is that the gel will not allow the back
of the horse to breathe. To address this concern, Gel-Ride pads can also
come with a spine-free area. The pad itself is the same basic size as the
Gel-Ride English pad but consists of two panels of gel separated by either
gel-free nylon mesh strip. Either pad relieves pressure on the
horse’s spine and, at the same time, allows some gel free space for air
circulation.

Gel-Ride, dressage, spine free pad.
To add less strain on the horse’s spine and to
provide the possibility for air circulation, the Dressage can also come
with a spine free area where there is no gel. The gel free area is about
5cm (2") wide down the whole length of the pad. The pad basically
consists of two gel panels with a nylon mesh opening over the
spine area.
